Libraries

The Los Angeles Public Library has one of the largest collections in the world and, with 68 branches citywide, is one of the most accessible.

In Windsor Square we are fortunate to have two of the satellite branches within a few blocks of us:

John C. Fremont Library
6121 Melrose Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90004
323-962-3521
Wilshire Library
149 North St. Andrews Place
Los Angeles, CA 90004
323-957-4550

One of the outstanding features of the LAPL system is the ability to borrow books from other branches and have them transferred to the branch closest to you for pick-up. This service can even be used by library cardholders on their home computers at the LAPL web site: www.lapl.org. In other words you can use the Fremont and Wilshire branches to access the entire LAPL collection.

John C. Fremont and Wilshire have a number of programs for children that make visiting them for their own sake worthwhile. Contact the librarians for more information. For general library information visit the web site or call 213-228-7000
