Paul Bogatz, Battalion 18 Coordinator for Community Emergency Response team spoke at our annual gathering of Block Captains. His primary point was that we should be storing significant supplies of clean drinking water not just for our families but for our neighbors as well. One of our most ambitious blocks has just achieved 100% participation purchasing safe storage for water. Please let me know if you would be interested in organizing your block or group – the more people we can collect the more reasonable the shipping prices will be.
Here are a list of resources Paul provided.
Save N’ Ready – Commercial Emergency Supplies. This is but one of many local companies that can provide supplies.
Live Prepared – Commercial Emergency Supplies. This is but one of many local companies that can provide supplies.
Many thanks to all of the Block Captains and their lovely significant others who could join us for our annual Block Captain dinner. June and Paul Bilgore were so generous to lend us their beautiful garden for the festivities. We were honored with representatives from our Council Office, LAPD, our local security companies, FilmLA and our local press. There was a delicious dinner, party favors, a raffle and a great speaker about emergency preparedness, Paul Bogatz. We will be posting scans and links of the information we updated and distributed at the party.
We have three new Block Captains but are looking for representatives for these blocks:
200 North Arden
600 South Windsor
600 South Arden
